Why Merge 2 Accounts?
A couple of good reasons come to mind:
You set up an account years ago and forgot about it and then set up a new one when you subscribed to a new Publication.
You rebranded and changed to a new primary domain and want to use the new domain-related email on your Substack account.
Merging is Easy
Everything about your Substack accounts hinge on your email address.
But, that’s the very thing that makes it so easy to merge two accounts!
Do this:
Log into the account you don’t want to keep
Change the email address to be the same as the one you are using on the account you do want to keep.
You should see a pop up asking you if you want to merge the accounts.
Here is the official word on it from Substack Support, if you want to have a look.
